Misogyny: Honoring the Wound

November 22nd, 2021 1PM PST

Online Event

An interactive panel exploring misogyny in the sacred plant medicine movement. This conversation will open the wound and sit with it. This conversation will honor the wound by breaking it open and laying it out on the table. Society is threatened by women and our ability to lead, and women are pitted against one another. This wound is deep and dark; much remains in the shadows, unacknowledged and undiscussed. We will examine why we aren’t “allowed” to talk about the wound—and why women are often deemed complainers or antagonists if they bring up these difficult and painful issues.

Society—as a collective—often wants to skip over sitting with the wound, which is essential for surviving and healing.

Agent Provocateurs in the Psychedelic Movement: A Discussion

November 22nd, 2021 7PM PST

Online Event

The secret FBI informant who betrayed Black Panther leader Fred Hampton in the movie ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ explores the role William O’Neal played in Hampton’s death. FBI informants or other forms of harassment and agent provocateur-type behavior are part of any movement which poses a risk to the powers that be.

Entheo Society proudly hosts Cannabis Attorney Douglass Hyatt who played a critical role in cannabis legislations history and movement in Washington State. During his years of organizing Douglass experienced ongoing harassment by nefarious characters, and regularly had his mail opened, and even his life threatened. He often describes “friends” who “joined the movement, but they weren’t there to be your friend.”

Enjoy the colorful and exciting former “Chicago street fighter” tell his story from being on the front lines.

Big $ and the Psychedelic Movement: Are We Still in the Fight for Justice?

December 15th, 2021 6PM PST

Online Event

Does it feel like the psychedelic movement has been infiltrated by big business or “behind the scenes influencers?” Do you feel like you’ve been excluded from an exclusive club of “movers and shakers”, who, in a colonialistic fashion-are carving out their territory to make a financial killing like they are seizing the Wild West. Just like what we’ve seen with the flagrant opportunism and control over the cannabis business? Who are the behind the scenes movers and shakers? Who gets excluded from the “cool club” in the psychedelic world and why? Are we being conditioned to accept capitalistic values that deserve to be changed in plant medicine activism? Please join the conversation and bring your stories.

Shawn Tate: From Pills to Suboxone, From Methadone to Overdose – What Plant Medicine Did for Him

December 18th, 2021 7PM PST

Online Event

Eight months ago, I started a journey with Plant Medicine. Eight months ago, I was a person who was addicted to any substance they could get their hands on as long as it removed them from the pain of everyday life. I had a long battle with additional specifically an opiate addiction that ended up with several overdoses resulting in dying and coming back to this earth. Finally the pinnacle was me at a methadone clinic for years. Fast forward 9 months, 1 ibogaine journey, several mushroom journeys, two 5 MEO trips, 2 kambo sessions and I am at a better place in my life that I have ever been before.

I always had money and kept a job, a good job at that, but I never had love or the ability to live myself. Now I am at a spot where I can be content and I am able to let myself be loved. I am looking forward to so much more life has to offer where I end up I do not know, but I am looking forward to the trip there.

Sound Bowl Baths Experience (Ideal for the Microdosing Meditation)

September 16th, 2022 6:30 PM -7:30 PM PT

In-person Event | 209 1/2 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA

Join us for our first microdosing meditation with sound bath artist and healer Adam Riehl (bring your sleeping bags your medicine is on you).

About Adam: I started my healing journey with Yoga in 2008. After many years of dedicating myself to work and climbing a ladder that holds no intrinsic value, even to those who seemingly constructed said ladder, I finally realized how broken and damaged I really was.

Yoga was introduced to me as a way to move my body and stimulate my mind that I had never experienced before. From yoga, I soon found my way to Meditation and began to explore other natural healing modalities. Immersing myself in these practices felt natural to my body. It felt like home.

I started to get in touch with my intuition again. Listening to that faint whisper, I decided to get my 200 hour Yoga teaching certificate and continue on this newer path in life. And when we finally get out of our own way, we can see how to maneuver the path in front of us. I have found a passion to help humans heal through my own healing journey. A journey that is still very much in progress.

2 years ago I answered my own internal calling to become a Reiki and Sound Healing Practitioner. These gifts that have been shared with me, to in turn share with humanity, give us another avenue to return us to our pure energetic selves. It’s like walking ourselves home.

Eric now focuses exclusively on psychedelic-assisted healing and the religious use of these sacraments. He edits for the International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research and Service (ICEERS); for psychedelic researchers; for an ayahuasca website, https://kahpi.net; and for awake.net, an effort to help end the opioid epidemic with ibogaine. A co-founder of Decriminalize Nature Seattle, Eric founded and directs Holly House, an effort to educate the public and media about psychedelic healing, train therapists and others in using psychedelics, and promote relieving the distress of end-of-life patients with psilocybin.
